Howdy Folks,
Well, we have done the, “Would've, could've, should've, didn't!” We're now onto, “Bring on next year!!”, with lots of things to work on. To that end, there's a few match entry forms ready for all y'all to print and send in, so you get some more match practice.
Exciting news from End of Trail:
Another chapter ends: Next year, 2027, will be the final year that End of Trail is hosted by the Arizona Territorial Company of Rough Riders at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix, Arizona. From 2028 the match will return to being Winter Range, the SASS National Championships. This will be a sad farewell but is also going to be the greatest send-off match ever seen! Entries will be available from mid-August.
The next chapter: The match currently known as Land Run, hosted by the Oklahoma Territorial Marshals in Arcadia, Oklahoma, will become End of Trail in 2028, and will be held in the first week of October. Many say it's the best match on the calendar, and their Saturday night banquet and awards ceremony at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum is second to none. From a personal perspective, it's been on our bucket list, and we will finally get to Land Run, even if it is renamed End of Trail. From the perspective of an international competitor, it will be great to see even more of your wonderful country! Bring it on!!!

The Last Posse, 10- 12 April in Nowra, have given a little teaser of their new trophy buckles.
The Women of the West, a favourite in NSW, is also on next month. Get your entries in asap for these two great matches!!
News from Queensland:
The Dalby Easter shoot is coming up fast. Get your entries in asap so you don't miss out!
The Bail Up flier and entry form, held in May at Tiaro, is now available.
Quigley's Redemption, the SASS Australian Black Powder Territorial Championship flier and entry is now available.
Watch this space for bigger and better things to come out of Queensland in 2026.
News from South Australia:
The South Australian State Titles is on next month, 17-19 April. Have you got your entries in yet? I don't have an entry form for the John Wayne Shoot.
News from Victoria:
The Victorian Wild Bunch State Championship, 11 - 12 April, flier and entry are now available.
No news from Victoria re State Titles results as yet.
No news from ACT, NT, WA & TAS that I know of.
